Six years ago, EO59 launched with a singular vision: to use Earth observation to help people better understand the world around them.
What we couldn’t have fully predicted at the time was how profoundly this journey would connect us with the people, communities, and organizations in our orbit. As we celebrate EO59’s sixth birthday, we aren't just reflecting on how far we’ve come as a business—we are celebrating the relationships, opportunities, and shared experiences that have shaped who we are today.
Growing Through Curiosity
Over the last six years, our projects have taken us across industries, borders, and vastly different landscapes. We’ve helped our clients and engineering partners decode millimetric ground movements—shifts completely invisible to the naked eye. More importantly, we've proven how satellite radar monitoring directly empowers safer infrastructure, better risk management, and highly confident decision-making on the ground.
But as proud as we are of the technology, the most rewarding part of this journey has been sharing the practical power of that perspective with others.
Investing in the Next Generation
Stepping into local classrooms to introduce students to Earth observation and satellite technology is one of our greatest privileges. Every year, these conversations remind us why curiosity matters. Watching a student's eyes light up when they realize a satellite hundreds of kilometers in space can measure the exact movement of the ground beneath their feet is just as thrilling for us as it is for them.
Those moments reinforce a core EO59 belief: today’s curious students are tomorrow’s civil engineers, scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.
Supporting the Communities We Call Home
Growth isn’t just about business metrics; it’s about the footprint we leave where we live and work. Whether through educational outreach or community initiatives, we believe a company's success is tied directly to the vitality of its community.
You can see this in the new Rapla town sign—a project we were incredibly proud to support as a visible reminder of the connection between people and place. But for our 6th birthday this year, we wanted to take that celebration a step further by investing in the culture and resilience of our community:
Going for Gold: Estonia is a singing nation, and we were thrilled to sponsor the local youth choir, Riinimanda, on their journey to compete in Blackpool, England—where they won Gold! Hearing their special performance of Happy Birthday EO59 was an absolute joy.
Championing the Arts: We proudly sponsored the Särin Culture Festival, bringing a glorious collision of poetry, theater, photography, and live music to our community. After all, what is a company if it isn't helping to build a brighter, more vibrant world?
Fueling Endurance: We also cheered on our very own project manager, supporting her as she conquered a grueling 50km coastal endurance trek.
Building a Global Team
What began as a small startup has evolved into a dynamic team spanning countries, cultures, and disciplines. Today, EO59 brings together brilliant minds in Earth observation, engineering, software development, data analysis, project management, and communications. We may be separated by geography, but we are fiercely united by a shared sense of curiosity and a drive to solve complex, real-world challenges. That diversity of perspective is our greatest strength.
