🌍 Internship Opportunity at EO59

Earth Observation • InSAR • Real‑World Impact

EO59 is offering an internship for students who want to move beyond theory and work directly with real satellite data, real infrastructure problems, and real clients.

EO59 is an international Earth Observation company specializing in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and InSAR, delivering millimeter‑scale deformation insights for infrastructure, environment, and hazard monitoring worldwide.

What You’ll Actually Do (Not “Shadow” Work)

Interns at EO59 contribute to production‑level work, not mock projects. Past internships have included:

  • Creating technical and narrative content explaining complex EO concepts for real users and clients.

  • Working with EO59’s InSAR data portal, learning how satellite measurements translate into engineering and decision‑making tools.

  • Supporting monitoring, analysis, and communication workflows used by engineering firms, researchers, and public agencies.

  • Collaborating directly with EO59 leadership and technical staff across Europe and the United States.

This is not a classroom exercise. Your work is published, used, and seen.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the internship, you will have practical experience in:

  • Earth Observation and InSAR fundamentals

  • Translating satellite data into decision‑ready outputs

  • Working in a distributed, international technical team

  • Professional standards for confidentiality, data security, and quality

  • How a small, high‑skill company operates in global EO markets

Who This Is For

We’re especially interested in students with backgrounds or interests in:

  • Geography, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science

  • Remote Sensing, GIS, Physics, or Data Science

  • Technical communication or science storytelling

  • Curiosity, reliability, and the ability to work independently

Prior EO experience is not required—strong motivation and clear thinking matter more.

Why EO59

EO59 is known for combining technical rigor with plain‑spoken communication. Our work supports:

  • Critical infrastructure monitoring

  • Environmental risk assessment

  • Long‑term deformation analysis using decades of satellite data

Interns are treated as contributors, not observers, and many maintain long‑term professional relationships with EO59 after the internship ends.

Location & Format

  • Rapla, Estonia on site only EO59 Europe OÜ (Estonia)

  • Flexible scheduling aligned with academic calendars

  • Pay in purely in experience, we do NOT pay interns monetarily except on a case by case basis.

How to Apply

Send a short introduction describing:

  • Your background and interests

  • Why EO59’s work appeals to you

  • What you hope to learn
