An Introduction

I’m Italian and I’m an Engineering Geologist. Sounds, straight forward, that is until you spot me keenly staring at the pizza stone you’re using, and you realize that’s the fun part of what it means to be an Italian geologist. In 2013 I moved from southern Italy to Rome for graduate school at Sapienza University. I spent a period working with the Colorado Geological Survey, at the Colorado School of Mines where I got to enjoy both living beside a brewery and watching herd migrations!

Since I was a child, I truly loved rocks and spaceships! I always had an eye out to find a way to keep these two together. Then, in a most natural twist of fate I started working with satellite radar technologies applied to earth observation, and geotechnical issues. I have truly enjoyed traveling the world, from Europe, to the United States and South America. In each place I’ve treasured gaining experience, and learning, from different cultures.

In 2021 I found the perfect synthesis between radar, geo-tech and travels at EO59, where I’ve found my home working in the Satellite InSAR division as an Associate Scientist. This is an adventure that has always kept me inspired, evolving, and eager to go beyond today and discover tomorrow.
