📑 We are now hiring! Graduate Commercial Development Associate
Four-year Europe-to-US development pathway | Rapla, Estonia, then the United States
Build the commercial future of a specialist Earth-observation company.
Full-time | Primarily on-site in Rapla, Estonia, during Years 1–2 | Working language: English | Fully supported if relocation required | US citizenship required
EO59 is offering an early-career commercial professional an unusual opportunity to build a career in business development, consultative sales, account management, and strategic partnerships. You will learn a specialist Earth-observation business directly from its leadership in Europe, take on meaningful client and partner work from the beginning, and develop into a long-term US-based representative. This is not a conventional sales role. It is a structured, paid pathway for someone who wants deep technical-market knowledge, close mentorship, and increasing commercial responsibility.
Your first two years in Estonia are essential to the role. EO59’s commercial work depends on understanding how its technical services are created, delivered, and trusted by clients. Working beside the people who build and lead the business gives you the foundation to represent it credibly in the United States—not simply sell from a distance.
🌱 The opportunity
You will spend approximately two years based in Rapla, Estonia, working closely with EO59’s leadership and technical teams. You will learn our services, customers, markets, delivery model, and distinctive human approach to client communication. The pathway is intended to lead to approximately two further years developing the US market, with regular travel to Europe as needed.
Living and working in Rapla offers the chance to become part of a close-knit international team, focus deeply on learning the business, and experience everyday life in Estonia within easy reach of Tallinn. An established American community in Rapla helps new arrivals settle in, while EO59 provides practical support throughout the transition.
🔨 What you will do
Learn EO59’s technical services well enough to communicate their value clearly and credibly.
Support partner development, client communication, proposals, follow-up, and commercial documentation.
Help identify and develop opportunities in the United States and Europe.
Prepare for and participate in client visits, conferences, and sales travel.
Create accurate, human, brand-consistent commercial content using company-approved AI, research, productivity, communication, and CRM tools, while reviewing all outputs critically.
Build dependable commercial processes, records, and relationship continuity.
Gradually assume responsibility for US partner development and market coverage.
🔭 Who we are looking for
A United States citizen. This is a mandatory requirement with no exceptions because the later phase of the role is based in the United States.
Willing and able to live in Rapla, Estonia, for approximately two years, become part of the local community, and then relocate to the United States.
This is an entry-level graduate role that also welcomes early-career professionals and capable career changers. No prior Earth-observation industry experience is required; we are looking for someone motivated by an intensive,apprenticeship-style development experience.
A strong communicator who is curious, thoughtful, organised, and comfortable building relationships.
Able to understand technical subjects and translate them into clear commercial language.
Prepared to travel and to work across European and US cultures and time zones.
Interested in Earth observation, geospatial technology, infrastructure, natural hazards, engineering, or related markets.
Committed to careful, authentic communication rather than generic or automated sales tactics.
Exposure to remote sensing, interferometric synthetic aperture radar, geospatial technology, or technical B2B services is helpful but not required. Curiosity and the ability to learn complex subjects matter more.
🛣️ The four-year pathway
Years 1–2: Rapla, Estonia. Work alongside EO59 leadership, learn the company’s technical and commercial systems, support active client and partner work, and develop the judgement required to represent the business.
Years 3–4: United States. Relocate to the United States and develop dependable market coverage, partner relationships, client visits, and commercial opportunities, while remaining closely connected to the European team.
The successful candidate will receive a written progression plan covering the European learning phase, review points, travel expectations, the intended transition to US-based responsibility, and the support provided at each stage. Specific employment and family-support arrangements will be confirmed with the successful candidate.
✈️ Compensation, relocation, and benefits
During the Rapla phase, the role pays the Estonian national average salary applicable in the year of hire. You will have essentially no costs other than food while living in Estonia. The average salary in Estonia as of late 2026 is roughly $40,000 annually. EO59 covers housing costs, provides full Estonian Health Fund coverage with no deductible, provides full relocation support and practical help with living adjustments, and pays for one return trip to the United States each year. Exceptional candidates may also receive agreed family relocation support.
This package reflects EO59’s substantial investment in developing the successful candidate. The salary should therefore be considered alongside the fully supported relocation and living arrangements, intensive professional development, and progression towards US commercial responsibility.
The role includes 28 calendar days of annual leave, in line with Estonian requirements. Depending on business needs and development opportunities, the candidate may also travel with EO59 to Italy and other international destinations.
