🛰 Oh the places you'll imagine! 🎨

In all we do, heart.

Think about how you too can encourage and care for the little ones in the world around you.

This November we were all dreaming of how we could continue to inspire kids around the world to be engaged with remote sensing. The nights were getting longer, the Christmas lights recalling Persistent Scatters and suddenly it came to mind - a drawing lottery! We got so excited a late night call was arranged. Our own kids snug in their beds, and this time in place of pondering interferometry we were pondering how to engage with little ones. We went from Sweden where we’d just opened an office in the far North, to Estonia, where we thought of EO59. We engaged with kids in Italy, home to many of our scientists and the creation of our techniques. We came home to kids in America dreaming of lunar landings and space shuttles.

Lots of hot cocoa in hand, SarProz running on one monitor (as always delivering data on the deformation of the world), we engaged in putting together a lottery style competition. Any child under 12, with their parent’s help, could submit a drawing of how they imagined the future of satellites helping the world. With all of the drawings absolutely fantastic, this week we random selected the winners at random for a printed encyclopaedia!

It's those days laying in our bedroom floors looking through pages of sketches of cars, trains, cells, and stars that inspired us to this world of radar. Let’s give raise, together, to the dreams of all little ones to engage in space!

🇺🇸 From the United States the winner is Mrs. Sambuchi’s class at North Side School in Fairport, NY!

🇮🇹 In Italy the winner is Bianca!!

🇸🇪 In Sweden, Hjalmar!

🇪🇪 Finally, in Estonia it is Keni!

Congratulations to all of the participating dreamers!! Each was chosen at random, and will receive a special printed encyclopaedia as well as something special from EO59. Above that, they will certainly have first choice at an internship here along side our team any day they’d like.

Never, ever, stop dreaming. 🚀
